Innovation meets Inspiration

I was an emerging artist in my community finding my unique voice as my artwork had the ability to capture emotions on canvas. My art was a reflection of my soul, each stroke resonating with my deep connection to the world around me. Until one phone call changed my life forever! The sudden loss of my father, a cornerstone in my life and my greatest supporter turned my illuminated world into darkness.

From my first childhood scribbles to my more sophisticated sculpted paintings, he was always there, celebrating my successes and guiding me through my struggles. His support and unwavering belief in my talent gave me strength to believe in myself. His passion for my art was infectious, and his absence left a void that seemed impossible to fill. I never wanted to paint again.

Friends and family encouraged me to return to painting, but the thought of facing an empty canvas was simply unbearable. Over the past couple of years, I’ve made attempts to paint but felt no love for art. Ironically through a move I found renewed life, community and a new love. But it wasn’t until the heartbreak of the budding love did my heartbeat again for art. My pain turned to beauty reigniting the spark of creativity within me.

And so, it begins… The journey back to me through painting won’t be easy, however in time I will find my voice again through brush/knife.
